Project Overview:
China Science and Technology Training Base for Children and Children (short for the base) is a project approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in May 2013 with an investment of 612 million yuan and an investment of 498 million yuan in content and capacity to build a national key public welfare project under the 12th Five-Year Plan. Project by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation is responsible for the construction and operation and management. The base is located in Haidian District of Beijing. The total land area of the project is 82307.8m2, of which the construction land area is 24254m2, the total construction area is about 80802m2 and the building height is 46.9m. Nine floors on the ground nine, building area of which is 50000m2. Underground two floors, and the construction area is 30308m2.
This project won the China Building Construction Luban Awards in November 2017.
It is the only large-scale public welfare project serving children in China. It is a first-class children’s activity place with internationalization, modernization, landmark and demonstration.
This project composed of three parts: the main building, future theater, international kindergarten composed of three parts. The main building and future theater facade wall decoration is using LOPO Terracotta Panel; the kindergarten facade wall using the terracotta louvers.
The architecture beauty is the elegant and smooth outline. In order to achieve multi-center arc curved surface shape. The project uses 35 different types of curved Terracotta Panel, which combined LOPO developed Mold and on-site technical innovation.
The engineering services is for children. Therefore, the requirement for project’s safety, environmental protection and green construction are extremely high. According to features, engineering construction process fully consideration of functionality and safety. LOPO Terracotta Panel is made of natural clay. Clay is a renewable resource and can be recycled.
The production determines its features of environmental friendly and low energy consumption. The hollow structure of Terracotta Panel and the appropriate insulation system plays a very important role in energy conservation.
