Interior Design of Project STRAITS CULTURAL ART CENTER
Overlooking the sky, the Straits Cultural Art Center is like a jasmine flower. The five buildings are covered under a white steel frame and stretched from the inside out to form five petals.
The petals are connected by a huge square, and there are three petal-shaped viewing platforms on the riverside, which constitute the shape of Fuzhou “City Flower” jasmine.
The curtain wall is full of different length of terracotta louvers. To see more picture of exterior terracotta louvers.
When you stand inside the theater and see the sun shining through the huge glass curtain wall to tear the entire interior into strips, the huge tension is shocking.
In the fast moving weather of the clouds, the terracotta louvers shadow moves with the weather, which is just like a playing piano keys.
The Opera House is the core performance venue of the Art Center and the highest of the five “petals”, reaching 65 meters. It has the largest area and can accommodate 1,612 people.
The Opera House is divided into three levels, and the places you see between the levels are curved, all designed for sound. The top-floor anti-sound panel, while providing illumination, also considers sound absorption and anti-sound, and the concert hall is modern compared to the retro opera house.
Eye-catching is a lamp of different sizes on the top of the head, the largest diameter of 6 meters.
The walls are made of ceramic pieces and have a strong three-dimensional effect. In the concert hall, the audience can enjoy the same level of music performance regardless of the distance.
The concert hall uses a “vineyard” surround design that allows the audience to be placed around the stage in a patchwork manner, creating an intimate feeling between the audience and the performer. With a total of 1,000 locations, the concert hall will mainly perform large-scale symphonies, folk music and chamber music.
Such a beautiful building is certainly not easy to construct. The designer provides a rare rhinoceros model in the industry. The three-dimensional scanning method is used for comparison and comparison with the model.
The largest opera house is particularly complex, with the opera house tilting the column, and depending on the curtain wall assembly requirements, the steel column can be adjusted to a deviation of only 20 mm. The connecting claws at each joint point are only allowed to be within 2 cm.
For the decoration project, the biggest construction difficulty is the complicated and intricate pottery pieces in the concert hall and the opera house.
There are 25,000 three-dimensional art ceramic tiles on the wall of the concert hall.
1.5 million “jasmine” pottery pieces on the wall of the opera house

In order to ensure the perfect sound and light effect, the designer requires that the three-dimensional art ceramic tile ridge line should be straight, the surface can not collapse, and the installation spacing of each ceramic tile must be controlled within 3 mm. The jasmine pottery pieces should be round and beautiful. The surface should have fine sand particles and no cracks. The color must be exactly the same as that provided by the designer.
The installation process of a single jasmine pottery was developed for more than half a year, and I thought of five design options.
Later, I will send a video for everyone to let everyone see the details of the whole project more clearly. Please keep following LOPO.
